Blogging...ugh!!!!

Okay...so I am offiially frustrated with blogging...does anyone do it anymore or do they only do Facebook (which I haven't mastered yet)...and does anyone still read blogs? I had about given up on my own blog then I went back looking for something and reread some old stories and LOVED reading about my sweet babies...are those funny kids really the same kids that drive me crazy half the time??? YEP! What a good reminder that is. I love having that reminder "written" down and loved having funny stories journaled that I know I would have forgotten! I love that I have a place for our conversations that is different than our scrapbooks. I still struggle with this blog being "one more thing" to stay caught up with...knowing that I haven't posted Kendall's birthday or Christmas pictures and who knows what else I have forgotten...oh well. So for 2009, my goal is to focus on this being a place for the funny things they say or do or the things that I won't necessarily document in their scrapbook. But, with that being said...here is a little end of 2008 recap so I can check it off my list....

I love doing birthday parties! Birthday parties were never a very big deal when I was growing up so I tend to go a little overboard. The best part of the day was first thing in the morning. I had gotten up early to finish decorating the cake and the table. When Kendall came down she didn't say a word. She just went to the table and let it all soak in. After a minute of two, she put her hand on the napkins that had been tied with a big bow and whispered, "Mommy, I like these." Then she softly touched the tea set that had been mine that she had never seen and sweetly said, "And mommy, I like these." Then she squeezed her hands together in front of her face and squealed and said, "Ohhhhhh, it is time for my tea party!!!!! I am going to tell daddy!!!!!" And off she ran!!! It was the perfect reaction! Then later she came to me and said, "Mommy, when I am a mommy, I am going to have a tea pary birthday party." I said, "Oh you are for you little girl?" She said, "No silly, for you!" I can't wait...I've never had a tea party birthday party!
